How are we born again?  What happens after justification?

As we continue in our series we have been looking at what it means to be born again.  In our messages we have discovered the need to take a look beyond our justification before God and get into our sanctification by the infilling of the Holy Spirit.  Sanctification is a big word that basically means that over time we become more like Christ (Holy) and less under the control of our sin.  Did you know that a part of our rebirth in Christ is that we renounce our sinful nature and learn how to live in purity.  In fact, God gives us the Holy Spirit to strengthen us and convict of the change that we need.  Yet we often don’t talk about the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the church and in todays moral climate we seek to excuse our sins instead of get rid of our sins.

In this Sermon

We are going to talk about the infilling of the Holy Spirit.  What does that mean and more importantly what does that look like?  We’ll also look at the process of sanctification and how the Holy Spirit works in our lives to help us defeat the sinful desires of our hearts.

Watch the Baptisms

This Sunday was also Baptism Sunday for us.  We Baptized eight people right after church in our parking lot and although we did it in a very non-conventional baptistry (a trough) it was a great day to see people make a commitment to follow the Lord.  God is at work at LifeSong and lives are being changed.  So we invite you to watch along and to be encouraged.
