Why Are Christians at Odds With the World?

When you understand that the world is under the authority of satan, then you begin to understand that as long as you pursue God you rebel against the ruler of this world. Christians pursue a completely different life with totally different objectives. We seek God in all things and look forward to eternity with God. The world on the other hand seeks after whatever their hearts desire and whatever this life has to offer. The things that the world pursues promises freedom and fulfillment, but in the end provides enslavement and emptiness and satan will give you whatever you desire so long as it distracts you from knowing or finding God. This is what we were saved from and the life we now live is incongruent with the life we used to live and the life that many live for.

In this Sermon

We’ll explore the Who, What, When, Where, and Why of why we’re not like the world and how we can avoid getting distracted from Godly living.
