What is Holiness?

Last week we began to distinguish the difference between righteousness and holiness (listen to last weeks message here) and while righteousness cannot be earned holiness is something that we continually work on with the Lord.  It is the process by which we become increasingly Christ like.

A few things to consider about holiness

Holiness is a process.  We all have good days and bad days.  Holiness is something to be worked on not achieved.
Holiness is a direction not a destination.  There is no arriving at Holiness.  Holiness is our aim, what we point ourselves towards.
Holiness is not meant to put pressure on you.  It’s meant to increase your faith.  It’s meant to be a blessing so just relax.  There are no failures as long as you get back up and point yourself back in the right direction.
Holiness is not a measuring stick.  This is not a system of grading how spiritual you are.  It’s a journey for everyone and we all find ourselves at different points.  No need for judgment, only encouragement.

In this message

In this message, Pastor Brad lays out the Biblical definition for Holiness and clarifies what the point of Holiness is.  You’ll be encouraged.
