Holy Week 2016, Easter Sunday 2016, Maundy Thursday 2016On Easter Sunday – Why do both sides of the grave matter?

On Easter Sunday as Christians we tend to focus on the crucifixion of Jesus, and rightfully so, but without the resurrection nothing else Jesus did matters.  You see if Jesus died and went to the grave and never rose again then He’s just another dead religious leader.  However if Jesus is crucified, dies and is resurrected then that changes everything.  It is the power of the resurrection on which Christianity rests and it is the resurrection itself that gives meaning to the life, ministry and sacrifice of Jesus.
