How does our connection to God’s family impact our spiritual growth?
Have you ever considered that a part of your spiritual growth and maturity depends on your connection to and participation in church? When I was a kid, we used to sing a song, “I’m so glad I’m a part of the family of God”. In fact, It was a tradition for us to sing this song every time someone was baptized. I am glad that I am a part of God’s family. Unfortunately, the concept of community and church functioning like a family has been under such a great attack from the enemy over the last few decades let alone the last few years. At this point I am not sure that the church in America is a healthy family anymore. I think the family has become somewhat dysfunctional and I think that we need to be reminded of how to be a healthy family again.
In this Sermon
We are going to take a look at the picture that the Bible paints about church and we’ll specifically look at four things that can only happen when we are with other Christians.
