How does the Christian understand and talk about sin?

Sin is the central issue in Christianity.  The problem we run into is that the culture around us does not think about sin in the same way we do.  In fact the culture’s beliefs about sin constantly changes and waivers, but for the Christian it does not.  Not to mention that plenty of people just don’t believe in sin or God.  Yet for the Christian we hold to the scripture and what it says about sin, and what it defines sin.  Unfortunately, I have found that as the culture and the church are becoming more and more divided that most Christians really don’t know how to talk about sin and really don’t understand sin. It is more important than ever for us to understand what sin is and why we need to avoid it, and we also need to know how to communicate to others about it.

In this Sermon

We are going to talk about sin and look a little deeper than just acknowledging that the Bible tells me so.
