What do we mean when we say that we are saved?

In Christian circles we tend to use the phrase, “I am saved.”  We even refer to the time when we were saved and we generally are referring to the point at which were converted or decided to follow Jesus.  All of which makes sense because to the Christian our conversion or decision to follow Christ is the single most important moment in our lives.  It is the moment at which all life changes and we are renewed.  Yet, we still need to ask ourselves the question, “what does being saved really mean?”  Or maybe a better way to ask it is, “what does being saved encompass?”

In this sermon

We are going to look at what being saved implies.  What exactly do we need to be saved from?  We are also going to look at what we are saved into.  Hint:  It’s much more than just being saved from our sins.
