What are laborers?

In Luke 10:2 Jesus tells the disciples that the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.  God is looking for laborers, committed followers of Christ, who will surrender themselves and partner with Jesus in ministering to the lost, broken, sick and needy.

What do laborers Harvest?

The harvest is people who are ready to receive the gospel of Jesus.  The fun part is that they may not even know it yet, but they are mad ready by the wounding of relationships, sickness, hurt, depression, need, etc… and all they need is to encounter Jesus and experience His Kingdom as it moves here on earth as in Heaven.  Simply put, when a sick person is healed in Jesus’ name, they encounter the power of God and through the miracle they give their life to Jesus.  Or when a person is hurt and depressed and you pray for them and give them a prophetic word from God to encourage them, that encounter reveals the living God to them and through that they give their life to Jesus.  It is us hearing from God, the Holy Spirit, and actively reaching out to people in faith that they might see God move and believe.

You can do this…

This is not difficult.  It just requires an ear to hear God and the faith to walk it out.  Jesus promised laborers that they would be able to do the same signs and wonders that He did and even greater (John 14:12).  We do these things not in our own power, but by the power of the Holy Spirit which God gives each believer.
