What does it mean to not bear false witness?

For many of us when we hear “You shall not bear false witness” we automatically think about not lying.  However there is a lot more packed into this command than just telling the truth.  This has a lot to do with how we talk about other people and represent their character whether it is in a court of law, workplace or even socially. Of course it’s really hard to bear false witness without lying, but we need to take a much broader look at how to apply this command in our lives.

In this sermon

We are going to explore the bigger picture of what it means to not bear false witness and what the Bible teaches us to do instead.
