What is a Covenant?

In church we use the word Covenant to describe the work of Jesus. We say things like, “Jesus made a new covenant with us.” But what is a covenant? It’s not a word that we typically use in our conversations, but it seems to be very important when it comes to what the Bible teaches and what we believe. Did you know that the Bible mentions covenant around 300 times? Also, did you know that there are five major covenants that God made with His people throughout history? It is important, especially because the last covenant that God made was through Christ and it was this covenant that fulfilled all of the others.

In This Sermon

We are going to take a look at the Biblical concept of covenant and why it seems to be so important to God. Also, we are going to look at how covenant changes us and the fruit that it produces in the life of a Christian.
