Just like the days of Noah
In the Gospel of Matthew there is an interesting chapter (chapter 24) where Jesus tells the disciples what the end days will be like. The picture that Jesus paints is not a happy one and He likens the end days to the days of Noah. Of course the Bible records that in Noah’s day that the intent of every man’s heart was to do evil and that it had gotten so bad that God had regretted creating man in the first place. That is a huge confession for God to make, especially since His heart is to redeem mankind and not condemn it. So the question for us is are we ready to deal with such evil times? Are we prepared for trial and persecution? Whether we see the end times in our own lives or not, understanding what conditions will be like in those days will only help us to serve the Lord no matter what we will face.
In this Sermon
We are not going to get into the speculative, we are going to take a look at what people will act like in the end days and we will look at how the church can distinguish itself and continue the mission of the gospel when evil surrounds us.
