Is victory something that we can count on if we follow the Lord?

As we’ve journeyed through the book of Nehemiah, we’ve seen how God called a generation to rebuild His city and the worship and ministry of the Temple.  We’ve also seen that once they began the work that they faced challenges and even threats to stop what they were doing.  Yet they pushed ahead with the work with a confidence that God had called them to the work and that God would allow that work to prosper.  It took faith and a bit of grit to get there, but what was the final outcome?  Did they end up victorious?  Did their enemies win?  Did they get the job done?  What happened next?  Well, the lesson we get from Nehemiah is that God’s story is victory.  It may be a process for us to fulfill, but with God the results are achieved.

In this Sermon

We are going to take a look at three things that happened once the wall had been finished and how their generation was able to enjoy the fruits of their obedience.
