Where do you find your identity?

Another way to ask that question might be what do you believe about yourself?  As Disciples of Christ it is important for us to have an understanding of what the Bible says about us and what assurances we have in Jesus.  The truth is that there are plenty of negative messages out there and the devil loves to fill our minds with self doubt and criticism.  Why?  Simply because he knows that if he can get you to agree with him that he doesn’t have to work very hard to keep you from following the Lord or doing good works.  He doesn’t care if you follow him, he just doesn’t want you living your life for Jesus.  So, if we are to keep on task with God we need to understand how He sees us and the promises that He made and keeps with us.

In this sermon

We’re going to look into the scripture to discern what the Bible says about whether or not God could actually love us in our sinfulness and whether or not we can truly be ok with Him.  We’ll also dive a little deeper into how we can match our lives up to the truths of scripture.
