If you thought fasting was hard, take courage, you can do this

While fasting is a basic Christian practice there are many disciples who really struggle with it.  In fact there are some that simply avoid it.  However, it has become more of a trend to take 21 days in the beginning of the year and fast as a congregation.  We have made fasting an annual practice in January because we truly want to get grounded in our relationship with the Lord as our year begins.  This year we are making an effort to get back to the basics and do a serious yet simple fast.  We are calling everyone to give up food in some way and to dedicate 30 minutes a day to prayer.  Pastor Brad has prepared daily prayer sheets for everyone, to help you get started including people in the church that you can pray for.  The good news is that as hard as fasting may be, you can do this.

In this Sermon

We are going to look at four key benefits to fasting and how what we do during our fast is just as important as what we cut out during our fast. We want you to be encouraged that not only can you do this, but that you really should do this.
